Evaluation of Some Biomarkers in Carp (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758) Depending on Water and Sediment Pollution of Atatürk Dam Lake

In this study, some environmental pollution parameters of the Atatürk Dam Lake which is Turkey's largest artificial lake and meeting irrigation energy needs Ad?yaman ?anl?urfa were evaluated with biochemical data in carp living consumed economically by public. Water, sediment fish samplings done simultaneously from Kahta Bozova districts, where located. Residue analyzes various metals water, muscle samples carried out together physicochemical water. Total antioxidant capacity (TAC) total oxidant scavenging (TOSC) levels liver, activities Na+/K+ATPase, Mg2+ATPase, Ca2+ATPase determined gill carp. As a result it was observed that Cd, Cr Cu Cd Pb exceeded maximum acceptable concentrations. Among parameters, oxidative stress index TOSC level found significantly higher liver compared to those Bozova. Na+/K+ATPase activity inhibited Kahta. When all these are together, can be said more contaminated toxic than Bozova, under stress, so they may threat health consumers hunted region.
